The Columbian Squires of St. John the Evangelist would like to extend a cordial invitation to the 7th & 8th boys (10 years old). Whether we are visiting the Nursing Home, praying together, or having fun at our open mics; we are always seeking new and fun ways to care for Jesus in others while growing in His love. The Squires is an opportunity for young men to truly grow in grace and truly encounter Christ in themselves and their brothers. In doing so we live out our call to “be worthy.” We desire to grow in grace and membership in the coming school years. For more information please contact the Parish Office at 294-5328.

Here at St. John's we have many groups that you can join. Here are some of our groups.

Such items as; can openers, irons, pots, pans, simple toiletries, towels. We sometimes forget not only do we need the big stuff like food to survive. But the small everyday items that we need to keep us living with dignity. Please consider joining with the Squires and help our neighbors in need. If you would like to donate any household item for this effort, please come by with your item on April 21st and enjoy some very talented performers. Or, you can drop your item off at the Parish Office, Labeled Open Mic Night. As always, the Squires thank you in advance for your continuing efforts and generosity to support our local community. Hope to see you at our Open Mic...Come share your talent with us...
"From the beginning the Church has lived and understood the Death and Resurrection of Christ as a call by God to conversion in the faith of Christ and in love of one another, perfected in mutual help ever to the point of a voluntary sharing of material goods." Justice in the World, USCCB
Next Squire meeting will be held on Feb. 26th @ 1:00pm in the Rectory Meeting Room
Salesian Cooperators are lay men and women called to serve the young and poor in the spirit of loving kindness fostered by St. John Bosco. (The vocation is also open to diocesan clergy.) The apostolate can best be described as “bloom where you’re planted” as each Cooperator is mandated to bring Christ into his/her everyday world. For all Cooperators, this begins with an attitude of kindness within the home then extends to the community at large.
The Cooperators are a Third Order which follows a rule of life focused on prayer and active service. The Cooperator must be aware of the needs of those served and respond with practical help. Through paid or volunteer work, members of the Goshen Unit minister to God’s people in food pantries, as math tutor, in chemical dependency crisis centers, through visits to the infirmed, as reading specialists, as 4H leaders, as catechists, as fundraisers for youth groups and day care centers, as Eucharistic Ministers and Lectors, and as coordinators of youth ministry projects.
If you would like more information, please call Kathy Pardo at 294-7807 or come to our meeting. We gather at St. John’s at 1:00 PM on the third Monday of each month.
